Taken at C2E2 2012, it's what remained of the AvX gathering. Photo by LJinto, and me as Cyclops, and a whole slew of rad people as Ms. Marvel, Sif, Scarlett Witch, Wolverine, Fanthomex, Storm and Hope!
BOTH sides are acting uncharacteristically dickish. There's no legitimate reason for them to be fighting, when any not-desperate-for-ideas writer would realize that these people have known and trusted each other for almost a decade in-story time now and would work together to prepare for the Phoenix's return instead of fight. That's why I refuse to spend my money on this "event."
I'm enjoying it for what it is. It's certainly not the best thing Marvel's putting out, I'm a sucker for hero on hero video game-esque violence. My major beefs are the Bendis cannot write non-street characters for the life of him, and that Kieron Gillian, one of Marvel's strongest writers and Uncanny's writer, is limited to tie-ins.
I love superhero-on-superhero fights too, and it's one of the best scenes in a certain new movie, but there has to be a reason for the fighting. First-encounter misunderstanding, mind control, philosophical disharmony... fighting over exclusive rights to deal with a crisis is not a good reason.
